Time and Temperature Display Mount with Sensor Mount for RV
thingiverse
I'm in need of a clock with temperature for my RV, and I require a rugged mount that still allows rear control access when necessary. I've found the perfect solution: a wall-mounted setup using 8 x 1/4" diameter x 1/32" thick magnets. These magnets are designed to withstand rough road travel and can be securely fastened to the print socket, which has some extra room for adjustment. The sensor holder features 4 x 5mm x 10mm N52 magnets and 20mm wide velcro strips epoxied into the slots, providing a sturdy hold. To keep water from splashing onto the sensor face during RV washing, I added a splash guard cover that fits snugly over the sensor. I used the same type of magnets and velcro strips on the inside of the flap to ensure a secure mating fit. When working with strong magnets and glue, it's essential to practice good techniques. For instance, placing a piece of paper between the magnets prevents excess glue from bonding them together. Additionally, using a flat metal surface to cure the glue ensures that the sensor magnets are flush with the mount surface.
