Timber Rattlesnake Skull
sketchfab
The skull of a timber rattlesnake is on display at the Florida Museum of Natural History as a fluid-preserved specimen. This model was created using Volumegraphics VGStudioMax 3.3 from a CT scan taken by a Phoenix V|Tome|X S machine. The goal was to enhance a learning activity designed during the UF Center for Precollegiate Education and Training workshop "3D Vertebrates: From Museum Shelves to Classrooms." Scanning and modeling of this specimen were funded by the oVert project at the University of Florida, which received support from the National Science Foundation under grant DBI 1701714.
