Timber Frame Cabin
thingiverse
In Northern Minnesota, my cousin crafted a timber frame cabin last year with no electricity or water. It features a wood-burning stove and a sleeping loft insulated by numerous blankets. Before the actual construction, he meticulously designed a CAD model of the cabin. The printed version, though, demands much support and could benefit from being assembled in segments. Remarkably, this handmade dwelling embodies both traditional carpentry techniques and cutting-edge 3D printing innovation; however, only one scale model is large enough to accommodate sleepers.
