To achieve high fire protection for your timber floor, take note of these measures. Firstly, ensure the floor is at least 16mm thick and uses tongue-and-groove floorboards with a slot joint. The timber joists should be no less than 225mm x 38mm. The maximum protection size is 4200x3000mm. For installation, align the longitudinal butt joints with existing joists and install two layers of 14mm calcium silicate boards, along with a 60mm layer of rockwool.
