On June 8th, 2013, the Coney Island Scan-A-Rama showcased its 3D scanning capabilities using ReconstructMe and an Xbox Kinect at Danbury Makerfaire, marking the public introduction of the Scan-O-Tron 3000 rig. The scans were impressive, leading to a Kickstarter launch for Scan-A-Rama and open sourcing of plans. Visit http://www.thegreatfredini.com/scan-a-rama for more details or prints. For optimal printing results at .27 or .1 mm layer height with no support, minimal trimming may be needed.
