This 13.5" diameter thrust bearing features tilting Babbitted pads and advanced self-equalizing technology, closely modeled after the pioneering Kingsbury design. This model was first conceived in SolidWorks before being imported into Blender, where it has been refined with an emphasis on precision detail. The complex topology of the bearing is a result of its development in these powerful 3D modeling tools, but can still be efficiently manipulated using Blender's vertex group features and displacement modifier capabilities. These groups enable easy identification of the various bearing components, while the displacment modifier makes short work of creating intricate exploded views. With its intuitive interface, users can bring complex mechanical animations to life with ease. This model is available in a variety of popular formats, including DAE, FBX, OBJ and STL files compatible with many leading 3D modeling and animation software applications, as well as Blender.
