Tiltable bar mount for Garmin eTrex Legend/Vista GPS devices
thingiverse
Introducing a new version of my earlier bike handlebar mount for Garmin eTrex Legend/Vista Cx/HCx GPS devices. This updated model features a tiltable slide rail, allowing it to compensate for skewed tube angles when mounted on non-horizontal tubes. The clamp and slide rail parts are separated by a cylindrical cut, with a screw hole and nut cavity on each side to adjust the tilt up to 45 degrees. In addition to M3x25 and M4x25 screws and nuts, an M3x10 screw and nut are needed for fastening the tilted slide rail. Auxiliary support structures in red have been added to the hinge part of the clamp and screw groove of the slide rail for easier printing. OpenSCAD files with parametrized dimensions and angles are provided, along with STL files for various tube diameters. Additionally, a printable version of the clip-mount adapter has been uploaded. The mount was printed on a RepRap in ABS using a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.25/0.56mm extrusion layer height/width. Be cautious not to scratch the handlebar tube with the M3x10mm screw, and use a drill bit or hot soldering iron to refine screw holes and nut cavities for ease of use.
