A Tilt-Shift adapter for using Pentax 6x7 lenses on Canon EF mount cameras is a must-have tool for photographers. This adapter allows for shift and tilt movements of plus/minus 17mm and 12.5 degrees, respectively. I have successfully used it with the Pentax 6x7 1:4 55mm lens and a Canon 6D or 5DM2 camera. One limitation to be aware of is that the grip of the camera can interfere with tilt to the right, but this can be worked around by rotating the camera. To use the adapter, first mount it on the camera and make sure it locks securely in place. Then, insert the Pentax lens, aligning the red marker on the lens with the small marker on the adapter. Next, turn the lens until it is locked in place, making sure that the large marker on top of the adapter lines up. It's essential to set the lens to manual aperture operation before attaching it to the adapter. I used carbon fiber PETG at a 0.1 mm resolution and a 0.4 mm nozzle for printing the adapter, which turned out very solid. To ensure that the adapter is printed with the necessary strength and precision, print the EF adapter at 0.1mm layer height without support (EF2 final). The rest of the parts can be printed at 0.15mm layer height. Due to the weight of the lens (750 grams) and camera (770 grams), it's crucial to have excellent layer adhesion. To assemble the adapter, all contact areas must be wet sanded with a 400 grid until they fit together smoothly and move freely. The final assembled height should be 40.95 mm from the top attachment site to the lower attachment site. The required hardware includes: 3x M3 hex head screws (4.5cm) 1x M3 hex head screw (6cm) 6x M3 hex head screws (3cm) 1x M3 hex head screw (12mm) 4x M3 nuts 2x M2 hex head screws (1cm) 2x 1/4-20 screws (2 inch) for the tripod extension 3x 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 adaptors
