Tilt Mount Mechanism for RC Planes, Tailsitters, and VTOL: Simplified Design for Easy Printing. Designed specifically for use with 10mm square tube mounting, 3mm fasteners, and 9g Servos (EMAX ES-09MD or D213F Exi servos are recommended). Two 3x8x4mm ball bearings are required. The mechanism includes 14mm square and 16/19mm mounting holes for added versatility. To minimize slop and maximize strength, use ball links in the linkage system. Alternatively, Dubro EZ link type with a metal pushrod can be used successfully. Two bases are provided: one with an integrated stop for tilt-rotor planes that require vertical to horizontal positions, ensuring dual motors align perfectly for forward flight. The other base is designed specifically for Tailsitter applications, which use +/-45 deg tilts from vertical. Ball link positions for each use are clearly marked on the pivot motor mount. A mounting channel is included for attaching a 10mm square carbon tube to a flat bottom wing. Additionally, a submount for a MiniTalon wing follows the airfoil design and is provided with two wing top bolt washers for thru bolts, including one specifically designed for use with the MiniTalon front bolt position. The pivot motor mount is secured by 3mm bolts through the bearing into the base block on each side. Simply tighten enough to prevent slop.
