Tilt mechanism for VTOL
thingiverse
I'm currently working on a tilt mechanism designed for a VTOL aircraft. This specific design is compatible with the Hitec HS-225BB Mini servo. Several key components are necessary to complete this assembly: 1. A 5mm round shaft is required. 2. The assembly also calls for two 5x8x2.5 mm bearings and a 10x10mm square boom. Printing Requirements: Printer specifications: * Model: K8200 / E3D Raft settings: * Use of rafts: No Support Settings: * Presence of supports: Yes Infill Pattern: Infill Density: * Infill density level: 20% Printing Notes: Note: The presence of support material should only be necessary in areas surrounding the bearing holes. For the primary component, special considerations must be taken to avoid warping during the printing process due to the ABS material's inherent properties. As a practical solution, the main part has been printed with PLA, after which some warm slow cure epoxy has been applied for additional stability and security. The PET material can also provide an adequate solution in similar scenarios.
