Store PCI Express cards in a space efficient way. No screws needed!I have, for a few years now, been “The IT guy” for my close circle of friends and family. So, I found myself with a lot of hardware to test, try out and rummage through. I have come to understand that my current way of storing hardware is less than ideal. 3D printers to the rescue! Tileable design, to the PCIe spacing standardI wanted to store all my cards in a space efficient way, while being sure they wouldn't damage each other when in storage. So the design uses the standard PCIe spacing standard of 20.32mm, thanks to this very helpful visualisation from Nvidia: Designed for up to 3 slotsIn my collection, there is a plethora of cards, some weighing a surprising lot. So I was forced to account for heavy cards as well, which usually sport a bigger physical footprint (looking at you, 3 slot GPUs). Securely fasten everythingWorried about your entire collection tipping over? Be not afraid!Every piece is designed with tapered holes to put some screws through. They were designed for Spax 3 x 16mm countersunk metric screws, although are easily adaptable to whatever you need in the .f3d file, for anyone to remix. Print recommendationsI printed all my test samples in PLA, although I don't see why other hard materials wouldn't do the trick.Wall Count is the most important parameter here, 3 is a minimum. The rest is up to you.
