Tile front adapter for Soler & Palau Silent Design 100 fan
thingiverse
I designed this adapter to use a piece of tile as a front for a Soler & Palau Silent Design 100 bathroom fan. If you have this kind of fan installed in a tiled wall, this looks way nicer than the plastic front. - Print the adapter - Cut a piece of tile, about the same size as the fan - Glue the tile to the adapter. I used a some Soudal Fix All polymer glue. - Now you can replace the plastic front for the fan with your new tile front. I designed this without outer edges to hold the tile, since this would have made the print too large for my printer. (Prusa mini) This means you'll have to carefully center the tile on the adapter yourself when glueing. I found this to be not that difficult. I used a very small amount of polymer glue on the feet of the adapter to give me some peace of mind that it won't vibrate loose, fall down and damage the shower or my feet. But I don't know if that's necessary, the fit was nice and tight using my printer. I used PLA because thats what I had around. Seems to work fine, but ABS might be better in the warm and humid environment of a bathroom. It uses about 53g of PLA, infill percentage doesn't matter much, I used 100%
