Tiko Rod and Carriage
thingiverse
This is a replacement rod and carriage for the Tiko 3D printer. Your results may vary depending on how your printer performs. You might need to use a raft and supports to help with printing the ball part. Print it flat with the ball socket opening upwards. This is still a work in progress, but I achieved the best results by warming up the socket slightly and then placing it on the ball. Next, form fit it while it's still a bit soft for a snug fit. I printed them using PLA, but I want to try printing with nylon soon to see if that improves the socket. As always, this is a work in progress! Print carriage part flat and print part B standing upright. Part B slides into part A. I designed it in two parts so that part B can be printed out of different materials like nylon or IGUS bearing materials available. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Infill: 100%
