Tiko Motor Mount Tensioner Clips

Tiko Motor Mount Tensioner Clips

These clips can help with loose motor mounts on a Tiko 3D printer. They ensure the motor mounts make secure contact on the rails, preventing erratic positioning (at least on my machine). Other fixes are available on the Tiko forums for those who want to try more thoroughly tested solutions. Upper Clips If your Tiko is experiencing similar issues, this print offers a significant improvement. Several versions of the upper clips exist, with higher numbers increasing tension (I'm using 04). Scaling them can also provide fine-tuned adjustment. However, if they become too tight, excessive friction may prevent effective printing. Attach these clips without disassembly and mount them so the small retaining bump on the inside faces the motor. Lower Clips The larger clips require removing the motor and partial disassembly, a process I'm not convinced is worth the hassle. I plan to redesign them when I have time, but feel free to try them for yourself if you're interested. These clips also need a glue dot or similar adhesive to secure them in place. Material I printed these clips in PETG, but non-transparent ABS might work too. Clips made from PLA will likely last only a few days due to their design requirements. To print the clips effectively, use a 0.5mm extrusion width and two shells.
