Tiki Torch Ground Spike Holder
thingiverse
The ground under my lawn is pretty hard, so I always need to use a bucket of dirt to hold my tiki torches securely in place. To assemble this design, simply step on the ground with your foot or hammer and insert the stick of the tiki torch into the holder. You can leave the spike in all year round and mow your lawn as long as it is fully embedded in the ground. Don't worry about quality - this design prints quickly, taking around 1.5 hours at a rate of 180mm/s. ABS plastic is recommended, but I think PLA will work just as well since it's designed to be tough. The hole is 28mm in diameter, so you'll need to adjust the x & y ratio to fit your tiki torch sticks, which come in different sizes. To do this, simply use a little math: add 2mm to the stick diameter and divide by 28mm. This will give you the correct scale ratio for your printing program. Important Safety Note This print was slightly taller than my printer could handle, so be sure to measure your printer before starting. If it can't reach 150mm high, reduce the height or adjust your settings accordingly. If you're not sure, stay present when the print reaches the end - and if you don't have an upper z-stop like I do, I'm not responsible for any damage caused by operator negligence. Enjoy your outdoor events!
