Tiki Mug

Tiki Mug

I crafted this sculpture as a practice piece in 3dCoat, relishing every moment of it, to the point where I created multiple variants. The print was carried out using clear PLA - the only material loaded into the machine at the time - which was then transformed with rustoleum red primer and black acrylic paint. Since the model is a solid entity, if you're interested in producing a hollow mug, you'll need to print it with zero infill and top layers in place. We extensively discussed this very topic along with numerous other 3D printing-related subjects on the 3D Printing Today podcast, available for download from iTunes, Stitcher Radio or directly at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/ I've uploaded a hollow version as well, which you can print with infill and top layers intact.
