Tight-Fitting Lids on Containers
thingiverse
***Description:*** ======================================== My primary objectives with this design were multifaceted. To master the intricacies of Print In Place and create a box with a lid that wouldn't incessantly fall off my desk, scattering its contents to the four settings on my air-conditioner. To achieve the first goal, I designed a box with an exceptionally tight-fitting lid, so secure that even a woman like myself needed to develop a second lid featuring a ring pull. The other task was accomplished by incorporating tiny supports beneath the two dividers, allowing them to be removed, thus enabling users to opt for one divider or none, depending on their contents' requirements. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my third "Thing" and also my third Fusion 360 design. My previous projects can be viewed at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4033653 –> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4073804 ***Instructions:*** ------------------- **Parts List:** 1. 3D printed "Finished Base FINAL" 2. 3D printed "Finished Intermediate Base FINAL" 3. 3D printed "Top NO Ring Pull FINAL" or "Top Ring-Pull FINAL," depending on your strength. You can print all bases and lids, but I've also included an intermediate container that links to a base, enabling you to stack like contents vertically. I've provided a contents list holder so you know what's inside, or if you're enjoying your 3D Printer excessively, you can print out contents labels as I have done!
