Tiger Train
thingiverse
As a demo for a preschool class, I'm designing their class name in plastic. The little ones are the Bright Tiger Steam Engines (I have no idea who came up with that name) so I created a tiger train to print. Unfortunately, I missed getting a photo before it was taken away on gleeful little feet, but I'll get a picture later to share. It's going to need supports. There's just no way around that fact. You could try cutting it in half and gluing it together, but that seems like a lot of work for something so silly. Attribution and sharing alike are required because the source files have those specifications. If you modify this further, I release you from needing to attribute me when you attribute "jigs" and "guco." Unless you really want to make sure everyone knows who to blame for this thing, then attribute away. How I Designed This Scale, Rotate, Smoosh I scaled the tiger face, rotated it to the right angle, and squished the back of it into the front of the train. That's all there is to it - a simple TigerTrain design. To make it printable, I needed to "MakePrintable" the train because Simplify3d was cutting the middle out, then did as above, then exported as STL. I'm putting this in the "design" section because my design work was so straightforward that I thought it would be funny to spell it out.
