TIG tungsten electrode tip grinder
thingiverse
This remix was inspired by entityunknown's design modification of jag's fixture, which made it easier to install or remove the diamond wheel while the dremel is installed. I liked the idea, but disliked printing with many supports if avoidable - and found that it printed poorly without them. This design modifies jag's with a different approach, splitting it into two pieces. The base threads onto the dremel and is low-profile so you can access the collet, while the cup threads onto the base after installing the diamond wheel in the collet. Both parts print well without supports. The electrode holes are slightly oversized, but mine still needed a quick pass with appropriately sized drill bits (1/16", 3/32", 1/8") after printing. This design is sized the same as jag's, intended for 40mm diameter diamond discs such as those from Amazon. There are some minor artifacts on the internal thread of the base that came from the modeling process, but they are insignificant so slicers should ignore them.
