TIG Filler Rod storage tube holder
thingiverse
I just knocked myself up a quick basic trolley for my R-Tech Welding TIG welder to free up some bench space, and wanted to store all the filler rods a bit nicer than just lobbing the tubes in a corner. The filaments come in a 32mm diameter, 1m long see-through tube, with rubber end-caps on each end. There's two sections to this - one is designed as a base, for use without an end cap, the other is designed as a through support. So, many hours in SketchUp, and about 4 hours printing per section on my Sidewinder X1, and I've got storage for 12 different filler rods - 3 sizes each of 316L Stainless, Mild Steel, and 5356/4043A aluminium. Secured with M5 dome-head bolts. I sliced it in Cura 4.10, and used Tree supports for the bolt opening.
