Tiertime Up Box X Axis Fixer

Tiertime Up Box X Axis Fixer

thingiverse

I've been dealing with a layer shifting issue on my Up Box 3D printer for a while now, and it wasn't until I took a closer look that I discovered the problem: one of the plastic parts holding the back metal bar and bearings (the X axis) had snapped. Luckily, I have access to multiple 3D printers, so I designed a new model in SketchUp and printed two replacement fixers for the X axis. It wasn't easy getting the old parts out and fitting these new ones in place, but once I did, my printer was up and running smoothly again. I hope this solution will help others who are experiencing similar issues with their machines - maybe it'll even encourage people to print some spare parts ahead of time.
