Tiertime UP Box/Afinia H800 Extruder Lock

This part attaches to the print head carriage assembly of the Tiertime UP Box/Afinia H800, securing the extruder assembly firmly in place and preventing unwanted movement during printing. The design cleverly leverages an existing threaded M4 hole on the left side of the extruder heatsink, a feature carried over from older legacy models such as the Tiertimes UP Mini and Plus, but also present on the UP Box and likely all other Tiertime printers due to shared parts. To secure this part firmly in place, apply super glue or two-part epoxy to bond it to the left side of the head carriage once aligned with the extruder heatsink's M4 threaded hole. For added stability, an M4x12 bolt paired with a washer and spring washer can be used to lock it into position. This custom part was created in response to Tiertime's addition of an extruder locking/securing screw mount between the print head and head carriage. By utilizing this feature, users can prevent the head from shifting around on the magnetic carriage assembly during printing, eliminating the risk of unwanted artefacts appearing on prints.
