A crucial component of most vehicles' suspension systems is the tie rod, a vital link between the steering gearbox and the wheels. The tie rod helps to transmit rotational force from the steering wheel to the wheels, enabling smooth and controlled movement through turns and curves. In its simplest form, a tie rod consists of two rods connected by a ball joint at each end. These joints allow for flexibility and rotation as the vehicle navigates different road surfaces. One end of the tie rod attaches to the steering gearbox, while the other end connects directly to the wheel's hub. As the driver turns the steering wheel, it causes the steering gearbox to rotate, which in turn causes the tie rod to pivot around its ball joints. This pivoting action transmits the rotational force to the wheels, allowing them to move in the desired direction.
