TIE Reconnaissance or TIE/RC Starfighter is a short-range recon ship use to scan enemy fleet or asteroid field to provide tactical data for the fleet before engaging the area. It lacks a hyperdrive but has an advanced area scanner. It is a predecessor of TIE Scout and TIE Vanguard.
