Tie Phantom for Casual X-Wing Gaming
thingiverse
Here's a relatively simple tie phantom model sized for use in casual x-wing games. It's perfect for trying out new strategies without breaking the bank! You can buy real models too - they're definitely worth it, but I had fun creating this one myself using openscad. I pulled this one together because all the other phantom models were way too complicated to print, requiring tons of time and effort. My version has fins that are between 0.8-1.2mm thick, which should give you a great print (if it takes its sweet time). I'm writing to you from germany right now - I'm so jet lagged! You're in luck because i've included the openscad source for this one. Take a look and see how i made it happen. Update on october 2nd, 2014 - i added an stl file with raft option and gave those fins a new ratio that's really quite impressive.
