Tie MK II

Tie MK II

I've designed a Tie MKII based on the original Tie and concept art from The Mandalorian, which features landing capabilities. Unfortunately, I'm still figuring out how to hinge the wings together without them flopping over. This design is heavily inspired by another creator's work on Thingiverse. To print this model, you'll need 2 sets of wing pieces (one for each side), as well as a single fuselage piece and two caps. It's essential to pay close attention to where you place the landing gear, as it will significantly impact the overall stability of the model. Once you have all the parts printed out, follow these steps to assemble the Tie MKII: 1. Glue the 8 wing halves together in pairs to create four complete wings: two for flight mode and two for landed position. 2. Attach the landing gear using strong magnets (3MM x 2.5MM). Be prepared for some wobbling due to the magnet strength, but I ended up gluing mine anyway. Please note that this print is still in its testing phase, and my own model had a slightly different configuration with more magnet holes.
