Tie Fighter Pilot Chest Box with Dark Side Cookies
thingiverse
Here's a remix of the Tie Fighter Pilot chest box by Jace1969 that includes a removable dark side cookie holder and scaled cookie cutter designs from Thingiverse, perfectly fitting inside. It's no secret the Empire loves cookies more than those Rebel scum do. I added a knurled knob on the front for an authentic touch. The back inscription reads "Property of Galactic Empire" in clear letters. Two gears need to be printed and attached with 5-minute epoxy or your preferred adhesive. A slot in the middle allows you to fit a Samsung S7 cell phone, making it perfect for a friend's costume. Just drop your phone in, and you can play the Imperial March as you walk by, or modify it to record video at comic cons. I added a battery holder in the lid, so I ran a simple channel up the wall to hold 26awg wires from the LED to the battery/switch using hot glue. It holds securely, and if you need to remove the wires, they come off easily. The LED holes are designed for 5mm - blue and red super bright LEDs, with blue on the left and red on the right, just like in movie screenshots. I'll use 5-minute epoxy for a secure fit, topped with hot glue for perfect diffusion. I didn't include a switch hole because I'm still deciding which switch to use, so I'll drill one wherever I decide. A 9V battery will power the two LEDs for an extremely long time – at least two years. I hope you enjoy this remix, and I'll post pictures here when it's complete. Cheers from Canada!
