Tie Fighter Ensemble: My Four Favorite Tie Fighters on Custom Stand The stand is designed by me, a custom creation that showcases my four favorite Tie Fighters. I modified all the Tie fighters except for the Mining Guild model, which was supplied as-is with a 2mm hole drilled for the stand pole. The others needed fixing due to various issues. The Tie fighter helmet underwent significant editing; I had to thicken it up by 2mm in Blender to make it printable at the required size. It was far too thin initially. If you have any questions about the best orientation for printing, feel free to ask me directly. I uploaded a second version of the support poles on May 5th, 2020, which features bracing to handle the weight better. In warmer weather, I found that the thin poles can bend and become softer due to heat. To adjust their position, simply dip them in hot water and shape them as needed. The stand was printed in black to match the helmets' color, but unfortunately, this color choice hides much of the detail. You may want to try a different color for better visibility. I'm also considering printing a brown version, which showcases details particularly well.
