For wrapping sections of nylon filament into 2 or 3 separate coils in preparation for coloring it with fabric dye. The winder grip handles spin on 6mm coach bolts held firmly in place with an embedded nut and one prong of the winder is attached with a wing nut on an embedded screw to make easy removal of the wound filament possible. One other prong is a tight fit but can be glued permanently if necessary. The filament winder can be used handheld - or one handle can be left off, allowing the winder to be mounted on its optional base which can then be clamped or screwed to your workbench, leaving both hands free to control the filament. Things you'll need... Two 6mm x 100mm coach bolts Two M6 hex nuts One 6mm x 25mm thumb or hex head screw One 6mm nut or wing nut
