A slight variation of bwillz85's design came into being. My wife found the eyes in the front unsettling, prompting me to remove them altogether. Note that if you plan to hang this, attention must be given to screw selection and wall clearance due to the absence of "eyes", which makes it more challenging to adjust screws without a stubby screwdriver. A loose-fitting lid was also designed to complete the look.
