This highly detailed model replicates the Ticonderoga Class Cruiser, also known as the Aegis cruiser due to its advanced weapons control system. Originally a modification of the Spruance Class, it was later reclassified as a Guided Missile Cruiser with the addition of the Aegis System. Out of 28 vessels built between the 1970s and early 1990s, some featured upgraded electronics and a revamped superstructure (CG49-CG58). The later variation (CG59-CG73) included enhanced VLS Vertical Launch missile systems. These vessels are now integral to the Navy's surface fleet striking force.
