Tic' Register
thingiverse
I designed this as a component of a project focused on exploring tics and attaching functions to repetitive movements that people are naturally inclined towards. The most prevalent and widespread tic I discovered was the tapping tic, which often manifests in people tapping their fingers or feet while working or feeling nervous. My primary objective was to find a way to link a function to this movement. I developed the finger casement as an ironic twist on the concept. The Tic' register records finger tapping by creating small marks on the surface being tapped, thereby discouraging repetitive behavior.
