THW Logo
thingiverse
This was a gift for my friend Christian, who volunteers at THW Bayreuth Germany. He is an amazing guy with boundless energy - sometimes a little too much! Anyway, he helps out at "Technisches Hilfswerk", an association that provides equipment, manpower and expertise during emergencies like fires, landslides, floods and catastrophes in general. As it happens, I helped Christian fulfill his wish for the 65th anniversary of THW Bayreuth this June - a printed logo that's huge! I wanted it to be big, and it certainly is. It measures 60cm in diameter and weighs 2kg of material (it could have been even heavier). The total weight comes out to about 4kg. You can see how many parts are needed from the filename. Here's what you'll need: * Filament * 6x ISO 4762 Bolt M6x25 * 6x washer M6 * 6x nut M6 * 10x ISO 4762 Bolt M12x80 * 10x Nut M12 You might not even need the heavy bolts, but they do add a nice touch to the design. Unfortunately, Christian was disappointed that we couldn't attend the party celebrating THW Bayreuth's 65th anniversary. We were sad too! So let's spread some joy and show appreciation for all the people who help out in times of need. Edit: I've added the missing piece, "T back", on November 25, 2018.
