Thundercats' Sword of Omens
thingiverse
I've taken on a challenging project, creating a cartoon prop from various images of cartoons from the 80s to generate this 3D model. To make it more feasible for printing, I used a broken sword as a reference point to establish the dimensions. My goal is to continue working on this and eventually include a full blade in the future. Version 1 splits the sword into four distinct components. Version 2 allows you to print both the guard and blade in halves while keeping the grip intact. Version 3, released on December 1st, 2018, features an optimized hilt division that results in a shorter and easier-to-print design. The addition of more fillets to the guard gives it a classier appearance. A new axis bisects the blade, offering three options for you to choose from. I've included both front and back designs to ensure perfect symmetry, but I occasionally question my modeling process, so I'm glad I could include alternatives.
