Thunderbird Low-poly 3D model
cgtrader
This 3D model replicates the iconic Thunderbird 3 rocket from the '60s TV series, based on photos and dimensions. It combines elements of various original models, so slight design differences may occur. The UV-unwrapped model comes with high-resolution textures (4094x4096 pixels) in two sets for clean or weathered appearances. Textures are included in a separate ZIP file and should be unpacked in the same folder as the model, with materials defined accordingly in the .blend and .max files. A low-resolution mesh is provided; apply a mesh modifier like Turbosmooth or Subdivision Surface Modifier for smoother rendering. Three Object files (.obj) are given at different sub-division levels: 13,590 faces at level 0, 53,680 faces at level 1, and 214,720 faces at level 2. The model measures about 87m tall in meters. Scene files for Blender and 3DS Max are included with lighting setups adjusted for consistency. Note that renderings were done using Blender Cycles.
