Thumb Throttle for servo tester
thingiverse
I redesigned the housing and thumb throttle lever to accept an M4 grub screw, limiting the throw for my kid's safety in public spaces. I also added a version with a tiny brake lever that activates the brake by depressing a small button. Bike build information can be found at https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=105643. I built an electric bike for my 3-year-old during lockdown, utilizing a brushless motor from a plane, a car ESC, and a servo tester. The throttle body needed to hold the tester, so I drew it up one evening. This is version MK2, requiring only minor tweaks for perfection. You will need: 5 x 10mm M3 bolts, preferably cap screws, as an Allen key provides easy access in tight spaces. 2 x M5 bolts and nuts with approximately 20mm of thread. A few tiny rubber bands like those used in orthodontic appliances. The gearing turns the servo tester from mid-range to full power, designed for a car ESC. If you want a longer throw for an airplane ESC, let me know, and I'll attempt to draw it up. I added a smaller gear version with a reduced inner diameter to fit snugly on the servo tester, offering both options now.
