Thumb Screw

Thumb Screw heads for 10-32 Machine Screws. I designed these to secure my Sensor Array project battery cover:\nhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1670541\nThe screw is threaded into these heads and the tops are sealed with epoxy. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm Notes: These are printed in PLA. Post-Printing: I threaded a tap through the hole, then inserted the screw into the hole so the top of the head is inside the hex void. The void is sealed with epoxy. I attached the screws upright to the edge of a table until the epoxy hardened. Let the epoxy cure, then they are ready for use. How I Designed This: I measured the screw and created its model. The outside edge has a texture for easier grip. The head fits inside a void in the center so epoxy can be filled inside over the screw head. When the center is filled with epoxy, it will lock into the screw driver slot on top of the screw. The inside void is a hex shape to prevent the epoxy core from spinning. As always, I have included the 123D Design file for modification. The 123D file includes the screw blank.
