Thumb Saver - Manual Massage Tool
thingiverse
A small and handy tool if you like manual massage, but finger strain is an issue. It features grooves for four fingers, as well as a small concave thumb rest, which allows the tool to fit comfortably in the hand (some variation expected with hand size - scale accordingly). Symmetry allows for equally gratifying left + right-handed use. You can use this on yourself, or a friend, in either the standard ‘thumb-on thumb’ position or the ‘inverted grip’ position depending on your preference. I switch between both positions regularly and find it great for releasing tension from my traps while sitting at my desk. Print Settings: I printed mine with 3+ perimeters, 0.3mm layer height and 30%+ infill, but would recommend you err on the safe side and use more perimeters and infill because you will likely be applying a good amount of force through it. The print shouldn't require support material if printed with the flat surface placed directly on the print bed - this orientation also ensures that the ‘thumb’ is mostly smooth, though you should clean up the top layer to ensure you have a nice smooth finish. Use at your own discretion, and please err on the side of safety. I will not be responsible for any harm that comes from the use, misuse or breaking of the device. Enjoy! And please post pictures of your makes!
