Disclaimer: This design is still a work in progress and needs to be remixed. If you're like me, manually loading the A5 can be ridiculously hard - it's as if someone deliberately designed the most infuriating button to press. This is the BYOB & H edition (Yes, Bring your Own Bolts & Holes) of this design. To build it, you'll need: 1 x 608zz or similar bearing, either real or printed 1 x 8mm Nut & Bolt, either real or printed A pen to mark hole placement Longer mounting hardware (angle bracket is 4mm thick), so a 3mm by 20mm bolt for the Nema 17 You'll also need a drill to make holes in your chosen location. To assemble it, there's no one right way. Here's how I did it: - Remove any existing hardware (spool holder, extruder motor, cable ties), secure the angle bracket with tape, and mark hole locations for mounting along the z axis using a pen. - The handle can be mounted above or below the Nema 17 extruder motor - I plan to mount mine above, so drill your holes accordingly. - There's a small nib on the handle that presses the extruder button; this is a great spot to add a small screw if needed. I used PLA 30% infill for my nib and it worked perfectly.
