Thule manufactures an excellent, albeit pricey, child seat designed for mounting on the rear of a bicycle. The Thule Yepp Maxi is perfect for my one-year-old child, boasting a sturdy metal frame and exceptional comfort. However, Thule did not offer any attachment option for a sun shade. Fortunately, 3D printing provided a solution. I purchased a Sunshade designed for beach chairs and created these adapters to install it on the seat of the bike. The Rio Beach MyCanopy Sun Shade is available on Amazon. The shade can be easily moved forward or backward while maintaining its rigidity, preventing movement during riding. After testing up to 25mph and making several revisions to the adapters, I found that it did not rattle or fall off. UPDATE 1: A new V9 adapter has been uploaded, which improved performance. It is essential to use PETG for this design, as PLA creeps excessively, especially in warm temperatures.
