We use a Thule 572 lift to store our roof tent. It comes equipped with a hand crank for raising and lowering the platform. However, we've encountered an issue - it takes approximately one thousand turns of the crank to lower the platform, which is simply too labor-intensive for us. To alleviate this problem, we decided to utilize a hook designed specifically for use with a hand drill. The hexagonal part of the hook measures 10 mm in diameter, making it compatible with most standard hand drills and appearing sturdy enough to handle the task at hand.
