Thule Quick Grip-2-T-bolt Adapters

I recently purchased a Thule Atlantis 1600 cargo box that comes equipped with Thule's Quick Grip mounting system (as shown in the accompanying photo). This system features two distinct "fingers" that wrap around the roof or cargo bar, securing it firmly in place. However, I encountered an issue when trying to use this mounting system on low-profile roof/cargo bars. The problem arose when the "fingers" of the Quick Grips would hit the top of my roof due to their design. To resolve this issue without sacrificing the functionality of the low-profile/aerobars, I decided to utilize the T-bolt channel built into the aluminum bars. This involved designing a plate that could catch or bite into the teeth of a channel inside the cargo box where the Quick Grips were originally mounted. The solution proved to be a simple yet effective design, coupled with a 1/8"x2" aluminum plate. I am confident that this modification will provide a seamless and secure attachment system for my Thule Atlantis 1600 cargo box.
