Thrustmaster T3PA Brake Spring Dampener Mod for T300 Simracing Wheel Set
thingiverse
This part serves as a spring dampener to modify the Thrustmaster T3PA brake pedal, adding a bit more graduated resistance. I'm using this without the conical rubber mod. To install: 1) Remove the screws securing the plastic bottom plate. Note – one of the screws is used to secure the dampener; be careful not to damage the wire connectors when removing the bottom plate. 2) Remove the six screws attaching the brake pedal housing, scraping away any locking compound if necessary. 3) Remove the brake spring. 4) Remove the bottom brake bringing receiver held by a hex nut and washer. 5) Clean up any grease. 6) Wedge the dampener into the spring; I used pliers to work it in. 7) Use one of the screws holding the bottom plate to affix the dampener to the brake pedal housing, taking advantage of the reinforced model. 8) Reattach the brake pedal housing. 9) Reattach the wired connections and reattach the bottom plate with the remaining screws. Printing: - I printed this in 195A TPU; I'd like to try other materials. - Use one perimeter. - Zero percent infill – there are internal support structures where needed, so no infill is required. - As with all TPUs, remember to dry the filament. After drying, I noticed a lot more stringing after twelve hours of leaving it out. I'd love some feedback!
