Thrustmaster magnetic quick release kit

Magnetic quick release kit designed for thrustmaster ts-pc t300rs t500rs bases. It will keep the original thrustmaster "quick" locking mechanism and wheel buttons functions but making it really quick by no longer have to unscrew the wheel locking screw and screw it in again when changing steering wheel as the kit will replace the screw lock with a magnetic lock. The original wheel locking screw is used to keep in place the mgnetic collar. You will just have to unscrew the original locking mechanism and screw in another wheel in a matter of seconds. The kit consists into the following parts, all must be printed in 100% filled pla+ or stronger material: magnetic collar collar lock screw spacer (you only need to use it if your original wheel lock screw is the self-tapping type because it's longer, see the pic with the two types of screws you could have on your wheel) wheel magnetic supports (comes in multiple sizes to fit different wheel types, must be attached to the back of the steering wheel using "3M" double sided foam tape)  SVG file for "release" sticker plotting Required hardware, available on local stores: M3x20 bolt + M3 nut  "3M" double sided foam tape  Super glue to keep in place the magnets Required hardware to be ordered online: Magnets, search for "8x5mm neodymium magnets" 2pcs 8x5mm for collar, 2pcs 8x5mm for every steering wheel For the T500rs you will need the following magnets: 2pcs 8x5mm for collar, 2pcs 8x5mm for original steering wheel, 2pcs 8x2mm for every add-on wheel Recommended mounting procedure: 1- Detach the wheel from the base  2- Insert magnets into the collar using a parrot beak plier. The magnets should be oriented in the opposite side each other to avoid locking the wheel in the wrong wheel position.  3- Insert the collar into the base and screw in the original wheel locking screw into the corresponding hole. Use the spacer if your wheel comes with the self tapping screw type as it is longer than the ordinary screw.  4- Insert the magnets on the steering wheel back mounts and apply the double sided tape on the back of them.  5- For correct steering wheel magnets positioning you could make stick the magnets mounts into the corresponding collar magnets and take off the buoble side tape protection.  6- Insert the wheel on the base and lock it completely, then apply pressure to the magnet mounts toward the back of the steering wheel for a couple of seconds in order to make them stick to the back of the steering wheel.  7- Make sure that the collar is aligned correctly to the wheelbase steering column and lock it in place using the bolt and nut. 8- Now your wheel is kept locked by the magnets. You could try to remove the wheel and reinsert it to check that averything is working fine. For T500rs: Specific files are included because of its different wheel offset due to the static paddles.   Using the stock wheel you'll nedd to print "T500 magnetic release WHEEL MOUNT stock wheel.stl" file. If you use add on wheels you will have to print "T500 magnetic release slim WHEEL MOUNT (x)mm.stl" and you must use 8x2mm magnets on the wheel back side mounts. Personal use only.
