Thrustmaster Cougar Throttle Extension
thingiverse
Human: I've created a Mk II version that's significantly shorter and doubles the standard length. To assemble, you'll need M5 x 45mm screws to mount the grip and M5 nuts to secure the extension to the original lever. I'm working on an extension for my Cougar, designing different lengths as we speak. This is what I have so far: it simply bolts onto the existing throttle lever, requiring only a wiring harness extension. You'll need three extra bolts and nuts, along with M3 insert nuts or self-tapping screws for the cover. To assemble the extension, extend the wiring harness from the throttle grip. It's recommended to add an extension that can be easily unclipped if you want to remove this extension later on. The extension slips over the three throttle grip mounting holes, secured by three bolts, nuts, and washers attached to the existing throttle. The throttle grip mounts in the same way to the extension as it does to the original lever. On the extension, melt in four insert nuts into the small holes or use self-tapping screws to secure the cover. Please forgive the quality of my print; I used a 1mm nozzle and prioritized speed over accuracy. I printed with 50% infill and doubled the wall values for strength, but the original lever still flexes more than my print does. HELP: Does anyone have spare parts for the Cougar? I need two throttle potentiometers, an 'ant elev' cap, and a cap and barrel for the SPD brake. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
