Here's a ball stopper for my storage tower made from empty reels, you'll need 6 mm diameter balls (ball gun ball), it turns much better this way, see here https://youtu.be/wAkBQFOD24s I'll give you the sources 123d design and STL I think the top tower is high enough, if you make one for each reel you'll have to extend it, I don't know how much I haven't tried it. ;-)
