Thru-axle truing stand adapters
prusaprinters
Adapters to make it easier to true thru-axle axles on a truing stand. I looked at the Park Tool TS-2TA product, & decided I could integrate the spring & spacer piece into one overly-complicated stacked wave spring. Based on overall dimensions from the TS-2TA. The spring spacer has a chamfer to make dropping in the adapter easier. I don't know if this would work with non-Park Tool modern truing stands. This is untested. How I Designed This Credit to Barış Yazıcı for developing the quick release concave washer model (https://grabcad.com/library/26-back-wheel-single-gear-bicycle-1). Credit to Ivica Zdelarec for developing the quick release model (https://grabcad.com/library/quick-release-for-saddle-clamp-1). Assembly You will need seatpost clamp quick-release M6 skewer (52.5 mm length - cut down & cut more threads if needed) & concave washer M6 nut spring spacer, printed interface, printed to make one adapter. I recommend small layer heights on the interface piece since it will be the contact with the hub axle. The interface has a deepened M6 clearance hole so it can accommodate some variation in skewer length. I don't have one on hand, so I don't know what the standard length is. If it's too long, then the spring spacer file will need to be edited appropriately. Category: Tools
