Thru axle cover with disk brake shim
thingiverse
A simple, quick to print thru-axle cover with a shim to prevent accidentally popping out the disk brake cylinder, with the shim connected by two intentionally flexible tethers. Ideal during cleaning and transit. Note the step in the tether doesn't really print nicely yet, but it's there to prevent snagging on the fork and wearing quickly. To-do: - Add more variants of thru-axle length and diameters? - Add print-in-place 'coaster' for rear variants to keep the chain in place __________________________________________________________________________ Print settings: - Layer height: 0.2mm or 0.3mm (I printed it in 0.3mm with the bridged part at 0.2mm) - Infill: 10% or higher - Supports: None - Material: any (not flexibles) __________________________________________________________________________ Edit (18/6/21): Turned the STLs such they are in the printed orientation when opened in the slicer.
