The original model was marred by a multitude of issues, including inverted surfaces, reversed faces, and non-manifold geometry. I decided to tackle these problems head-on by importing the model into Sketchup, where I successfully addressed most of the flaws before sending it off to Netfabb for a final round of fine-tuning. To ensure compatibility with my 8x8 printer, I rotated the model 45 degrees and was pleased to find that it fit seamlessly. While this particular rotation may not work on all printers, it's possible that other orientations could be viable alternatives. I opted to print the model at a height of 0.1mm using PLA filament, relying heavily on support structures to ensure a stable and successful print.
