Throttle valve for the Toyota throttle body
thingiverse
While waiting for the hardware needed to assemble my Toyota model engine designed by Eric Thorne, I made a throttle valve for the throttle body. When putting the engine together, I thought it would be great to add speed control to the electric motor, perhaps using something similar to the design suggested by Rubble Toe on Thingiverse. This could involve incorporating the potentiometer as a Throttle Positioning Sensor directly onto the throttle body, allowing me to rev the engine either by adjusting the intake or via wires. Alternatively, I might put a stepper motor that controls the valve in response to the selected speed. For now, it's just the valve, which can be secured with two M3x45mm screws filed flat on one side. The file for this valve is called Throttle_valve.stl. You can print it as-is or try printing the two split files and gluing them together - it comes down to personal preference between removing support structures and messing with glue. For those without their throttle body installed yet, I used three M3x15mm and one M3x12mm screws on my project. Once mine is done, I'll switch to allen screws. Printer Details Printer: Robox
